This wreath class was meant to be. It's been a dream of mine to host a class in wreath making, but this year seemed a bit too busy with winter weddings. Coincidentally one of our past brides (who we absolutely adore) mentioned that she would love to go to a wreath class and was sad we weren't offering any this year. Well, considering she has a late November birthday, we decided to throw her a little private soireé in the form of a holiday wreath class! I don't need much prodding to do any sort of holiday activity, and Debbie just so happens to share the same deep affection for the holiday season as I do. This class was extra enjoyable as it was a close group of friends gathering both to create, learn a new skill and to celebrate a friend. Our wreaths were comprised of Cedar, Blue Spruce, Pine, Juniper & Berried Juniper, Douglas Fir, Eucalyptus Pods, foraged Pine Cones, Pheasant Feathers and Spiral Eucalyptus. Our studio smelled so wonderful with all of the greens. That coupled with the ambiance of a cozy evening, Christmas tunes and some bubbly made this a wonderful night! Happy Birthday to you Debbie! Thank you to all of the ladies who came out and made this class such a fun experience.
Over the last two weeks we teamed up with Bloomsbury Blooms to host a series of workshops to Celebrate Spring! These classes focused on the art of making floral crowns in two different styles. They were great for anyone who loves crafting, DIY brides, photographers who like to use styling props and we even had a Dahlia farmer and Peony farmer attend! The joy that we get from hosting these workshops make them seem like a lot more fun than work. It's a positive way to bring people together to learn and create in a "no rules" atmosphere. Sharing what you love with others has a way of refueling your creative juices and gives you a fresh outtake on life. This was my favorite subject yet. Maybe it's because we have more sunlight and signs of Spring, but I suspect it's because wearing a floral crown makes you feel like a beautiful princess even if it's just for the day! Stay tuned for more workshop opportunities in the future. Happy Spring my lovelies!
