Vintage Glam in Big Lake, Alaska

I'm so happy to finally share this wedding on the blog today!  Veranna, Jake and their families let us be a part of their wedding and it was such a wonderful gathering.  We spent months planning with the Bride (and her awesome mother) putting a day together that was not only fun, but had elements of glamour and just enough sparkle to make it feel unique and not so typical of what you would expect to see at an outdoor Alaskan wedding.  Veranna wanted their wedding to reflect them with the perfect mix of formal elements and the Alaskan landscape as their backdrop.

This day was just as much about fun as it was about pretty.  The family reserved the Sunset View Resort for four days and it was fantastic!  Both the Bride and Groom have large families and everyone came together to enjoy the outdoors and the joyous occasion of seeing two people they love commit to one another.  If I can remember one takeaway from this event, it was the constant laughter and lots of happy kids running around having a blast.  It was a treat to combine this setting with a wedding day that was as glamorous as it was beautiful.  Rose gold sequined linens, ruffled pink petal linens, a rose' champagne tower, one gorgeous cake and the most beautiful and luscious peonies created an evening that felt like it was plucked right out of a Gatsby garden party.  There was not a sole left off of the dance floor by the end of the night and the photo booth was a hit.  We absolutely adore you Veranna & Jake (and Betty) and we hope you continue to have many more happy years together!  Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives!
