Here's to You 2015! A Look Back Through Photographs

This year can be summed up in one word for us.  Spectacular!  I was attempting to go through all of the photos from this year and pick out highlights (a seemingly easy task) but when there are so many positives it became impossible to narrow it down and I spent hours re-editing this post.  There were too many good memories to choose from!  As we're getting ready to wrap things up, pack away all of the loose ends from 2015 and turn our page, I'm overwhelmed with feelings of thankfulness and joy.   We were graciously invited into so many lives this year and asked to hold in our hands the task of creating memorable and unforgettable weddings.  We did just that and had so much fun!  Alaskan weddings really are the stuff that dreams are made of.  Muddy, cold and rainy dreams sometimes.  Hiking furniture up the side of a mountain to make something epic kind of dreams sometimes.  But dreams nonetheless.   This year offered us the chance to really hone in on our design skills and work hand in hand with our couples to make their visions come to life.   I can wholeheartedly say that design has become a passion (or maybe a healthy addiction!).  We are invested in Alaska and raising awareness to new ideas, trends and inspiring our couples to make their day uniquely theirs.  Having the opportunity to do so is both rewarding and fulfilling.   We also were able to host our first workshops with small tips and lessons in home entertaining and design.  I'll admit taking that leap was a bit scary but the payoff was well worth it!  I'm also reminded of how thankful I am that I get to work alongside my wonderfully talented husband and we are afforded the blessing of doing something we both love, together.  There were many nights that we sat back at the end of an event and both discussed how lucky we feel to be able to have (what we think is) the coolest job anyone could ask for!   Thank you to all of our wonderful couples, their families and friends and our vendors for being fabulously you.  We bid you adieu 2015 and can't wait to see what next year has in store!  Much love - Erin & Matt
